German architects Wurm + Wurm have managed to take a simple concept an execute it beautifully: office buildings are typically designed one boxy floor atop another, but nobody ever said the boxes have to be perfectly aligned. Such is the case with this design, an office building for Goepel Electronic in Jena, Germany. From most angles the building appears lofty and daring, yet when viewed on its narrow axis, perspective becomes distorted and the building appears appealingly silhouette-like.

Chicago architects Strawn / Sierralta have an excellent reputation for innovative design, and have shone brightly in numerous architectural competitions. Arccentric provided architectural renderings for their competition entry for a “street football” (soccer) facility in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Their boldly minimal concept, which had stringent budget guidelines per the competition, utilizes light, architecture, and shade harmoniously.

The Alan-Voo house, designed by Neil Denari Architects, is an example of bold and daring architecture. These renderings were created as an in-house exercise, using only photographs of the house as it was built.
